The Artists’ Society of Phillip Island Inc. (ASPI) holds two annual exhibitions– at Easter and Cup Weekend in the Cowes Cultural Centre. These are open to all members.

The Cup Weekend exhibition includes the Bass Coast Shire ‘Your Art Collection’ Award which includes the opportunity to enter the Bass Coast Acquisitive Art Prize.

Visual Artists

Formed in 1994, the visual artists group provides activities that include life drawing, plein air, appraisal and artist talks.


Formed in 1988, Ibis Writers provides an informal forum for developing writers to grow in confidence and expertise. They meet monthly, hold workshops and readings and also seek to renew a community interest in poetry. More Info


The Camera Club has provided a social and technical support network for camera enthusiasts since 1994. It provides opportunities for members to grow in confidence and skill through monthly club competitions, workshops, regular excursions and encouragement to participate in exhibitions.


Formed in 2011, the Textile Artists meet fortnightly to share their skills and knowledge in textiles and fabric art.
