The Artists’ Society of Phillip Island holds two major exhibitions annually: at Cup Weekend and Easter Weekend. ASPI is also involved in supporting and promoting numerous local galleries and exhibitions.

Easter Weekend Exhibition

Venue: The Cultural Centre, Thompson Avenue, Cowes.

Genres:  Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography, Textile Art and Writing.

The annual ASPI Easter Weekend Exhibition is held at the Cowes Cultural Centre, Thompson Avenue, Cowes. All financial ASPI members are eligible to enter.  Genres include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, textile art and writing.

There are a number of prizes that have included: ‘Figure it Now’, best contemporary, best textile art, best work celebrating the natural environment of Phillip Island & Churchill Island  and  the People’s Choice Award.
Prizes are sponsored by businesses and individuals.

Cup Weekend Exhibition

The annual ASPI Cup Weekend Exhibition is held at the Cowes Cultural Centre, Thompson Avenue Cowes. All financial ASPI members are eligible to enter.  Genres include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography and textile art.

There are a number of prizes, sponsored by businesses and individuals. A $1000 YAC Award (Your Art Collection) for work in any medium is donated by the Bass Coast Shire and includes an invitation to exhibit in the annual YAC Award Exhibition, which attracts an additional $5000 prize for the winning artist.
