A long held interest in, and active participation within the landscape has been central to
Warren’s art practice.
It is his interest in translucency and transition in colour, as dictated by the changing sky and
weather patterns within a sea or snow environment, which influences his exploration of
applying numerous transparent glazes over a prepared surface —-an approach not too
dissimilar to the practice of the masters, Rembrandt and Rothko.
Warren has an Associate Diploma of Art, Craft & Design (UTAS) and exhibits at the Artists’
Society of Phillip Island exhibitions, Mingara Gallery, Cowes and Quadrant Gallery,
