Bass Coast Shire Council ‘Your Art Collection’ (YAC) Award.

Congratulations to two very talented and hard working committee members, Gay Mosby (right) and Diana Edwards (with her winning entry). Gay was recently awarded the contract from Bass Coast Shire Council to design and produce nine awards over two years for presentation to the finalists in the Shire’s ‘Your Art Collection’ (YAC) Award.

Her design is a Raku fired ceramic piece. Each piece is a different colour to symbolise the particular area of the shire in which the finalist is awarded.

Gay is a sculptor who also has a Diploma in Ceramics. Diana is the first recipient of Gay’s design – a yellow glazed ceramic – having won Best in Show at the Inverloch Art Show during the Labour Day weekend in March. Diana, a multi-award winning oil and watercolour painter for over 40 years, has held many solo and joint exhibitions and also conducts painting classes at her Iluka Gallery studio in Silverleaves.
